Students will get health care in Jaksur Medical Camp, 11th Division tomorrow
A medical camp will be held in the university tomorrow on May 17 under the initiative of the Jagannath University Central Students’ Union (JAKSU). In this camp organized for the students, consultation of expert doctors, health examination and necessary medicines will be given free of cost, Jaksu said.
Jaksu sources said that this medical camp will be held tomorrow Sunday in front of the university’s administrative building and Shaheed Minar. 21 booths have been prepared for the medical camp. The medical camp will be staffed by doctors from 11 departments – Medicine, General Surgery, Gynecology and Obstetrics, Dermatology, Ear, Nose and Throat (ENT), Dental, Orthopaedics, Ophthalmology, Cardiology, Respiratory Diseases and Psychiatry.
There will be about 30 doctors in the medical camp, some of them will be doctors of the rank of professors and assistant professors. 10 free tests have been arranged in the medical camp.
Jaksur Health and Environment Affairs Secretary Noor Mohammad said, the camp will have various basic health check-ups along with doctor’s advice. Students will undergo immediate health check-up using some necessary test-related equipment including portable ECG machine. All tests and medical services will be provided completely free of cost to the students. Apart from this, essential medicines will be distributed free of cost as per the advice of the doctors.
Apart from organizing medical camp, Jaksu is working to improve the quality of service of the medical center of the university, said Noor Mohammad.
