One more child died with symptoms of measles in Mymensingh Medical

A three-month-old baby died of measles symptoms at Mymensingh Medical College Hospital. 34 new children have been admitted in the last 24 hours. Currently 78 children are under treatment.

A three-month-old child from Kishoreganj Sadar Upazila was admitted to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital on April 9 with symptoms of measles. The child died on Saturday around 1:15 a.m. while undergoing treatment there.

The hospital authorities said that 34 new children were admitted to the Measles Isolation Ward of Mymensingh Medical College Hospital between 8 am yesterday and 8 am this Sunday. 611 children have been admitted with measles symptoms since March 17 till this morning. Among them, 519 children were discharged from the hospital and 14 children died. Currently 78 children are under treatment. 72 children have recovered and been discharged from the hospital in the last 24 hours.

Assistant Director (Administration) of Mymensingh Medical College Hospital Mohammad Mainuddin Khan said that a three-month-old baby died in 24 hours. During this period, 34 new children were admitted with symptoms of measles.
