After killing his wife in Gazipur’s Sreepur, the husband called a neighbor woman and asked the victim’s father to take the body. After killing the housewife named Jharna, he left the body in the house and called a neighbor woman and said, “I have killed Jharna.” Tell his father to take the body.

On Saturday (April 11) around 10:30 pm, the Sripur police station found the dead body by breaking the lock of Masud Rana’s two-story house in Ward No. 7 of Beraiderchala village of Sripur municipality.

Jharna’s father Hamidul Islam said that Jharna married a boy named Apu two years ago without the knowledge of the family.  He has not kept in touch with us since marriage. We have not been in touch with him either. I do business in Ansar Road area of ​​the municipality. 

The owner of the house, Masud Rana, said that Jharna’s husband Apu called the mobile phone of a neighbor named Tanya on Saturday night. He said on the phone that he killed his wife. Inform his parents and relatives to take the body. On receiving such a call, Tanya came home and told the matter. Most of the time the door of their house was closed. Because of that it was not possible to know about them. After opening the door, it was found that there was a lot of drug use in the room.

Sreepur Police Station OC Mohammad Nashir Ahmad said that the body was recovered around 10:30 pm. Signs of drug use were found inside the house. Jharna was initially believed to have been killed by suffocation. Husband absconding. Further legal action in this regard is pending.
