Babar Azam Reaches Landmark 100th T20 Fifty, Joins Elite Batting List

Pakistan’s star batsman Babar Azam has achieved a significant milestone in T20 cricket, scoring his 100th half-century in the format and securing a place among the all-time greats.

The captain of Peshawar Zalmi reached the landmark during a Pakistan Super League (PSL) match against Quetta Gladiators. Azam remained unbeaten on 71 runs from 51 balls, guiding his team to a comfortable eight-wicket victory.

This latest innings marks Azam as the fourth batsman globally to achieve 100 or more half-centuries in T20 cricket. He now stands alongside an elite group that includes David Warner, who has 116 fifties, Virat Kohli with 107, and Jos Buttler who also has exactly 100 half-centuries.

Notably, Azam has reached this milestone in fewer innings than his counterparts on the list. He had previously made history in the PSL by becoming the first player to surpass 4,000 runs in the league’s history.
