Dhaka police seize 961 bottles of Phensedyl in Uttara arrest

Police in Dhaka arrested a 33-year-old man on Saturday morning after seizing 961 bottles of Phensedyl during a raid in the city’s Uttara district.
Law enforcement officials identified the suspect as Jahangir Alam. Acting on a tip-off, officers from the Uttara West Police Station intercepted a pickup truck on Road 13 in Sector 13 at approximately 10:30 a.m.

In addition to the illicit cough syrup, police recovered 290,000 taka in cash, which authorities believe are proceeds from drug sales. The pickup truck used to transport the contraband was also confiscated during the operation.
Police are currently in the process of filing a formal case against Alam under the Narcotics Control Act.
