Army Chief General Waker-Uz-Zaman Concludes Capstone Course at National Defence College

The National Defence College (NDC) concluded its three-week Capstone Course 2026/2 on Thursday at a ceremony held at the college premises in Mirpur Cantonment. Chief of Army Staff General Waker-uz-Zaman attended the event as the chief guest and distributed certificates to the graduating fellows.
The course, which commenced on August 20, hosted 39 participants, including members of parliament, senior military officers, renowned academicians, medical professionals, high-ranking representatives from public and private sectors, diplomats, and prominent business leaders.
Addressing the graduates, General Waker-uz-Zaman congratulated the participants on their successful completion of the curriculum. He urged them to play an active role in their respective professional domains, emphasizing the importance of upholding constitutional responsibilities to strengthen national security and ensure sustainable development in Bangladesh.
NDC Commandant Lieutenant General Md. Faizur Rahman also spoke at the event, underscoring the necessity of continuous dialogue and building consensus on matters of national importance.
The Capstone Course serves as a flagship training program for the National Defence College, designed to enhance strategic awareness and foster critical thinking among senior leaders. The curriculum aims to strengthen inter-agency collaboration and cultivate a unified perspective on issues concerning national security and development.
The closing ceremony was attended by senior military and civilian officials from various government and non-governmental organizations, alongside faculty members of the National Defence College and other distinguished guests.
