James Dismisses Misconduct Allegations During Ongoing European Tour

Popular Bangladeshi rock icon and Nagarbaul frontman James has categorically rejected allegations of misconduct and contract violations during his ongoing concert tour in Italy. The singer addressed the controversies during a press conference in Venice on Thursday evening, following reports that he and his band had left a hotel room in Rome in an unhygienic state and breached contractual obligations with local organizers.

Responding to viral images circulating on social media that depicted a disorganized hotel room allegedly occupied by his team, James dismissed the claims as insignificant. He attributed the condition of the room to younger musicians traveling with the group, suggesting that minor disarray is a common occurrence in hotels and does not warrant the level of public scrutiny it received. Furthermore, the singer clarified that the room showcased in the viral photographs was not his personal suite, asserting that the allegations regarding his privacy were misplaced.

While James addressed the physical state of the hotel rooms, he refrained from commenting directly on allegations regarding ticket revenue and specific contractual disputes. Instead, his spokesperson and manager, Rubaiyat Thakur Robin, shifted the focus toward the organizers, accusing them of failing to meet financial commitments. According to Robin, the original agreement stipulated that James would only take the stage after a performance fee of 30,000 euros was paid in full, a condition he claims the organizers failed to satisfy before the concert.

Despite the ongoing dispute, the Nagarbaul European tour remains active. Following a scheduled performance in Venice on August 23, the band is set to hold a series of concerts in various Italian cities. The tour will conclude with a performance in Sweden on September 5, with James and his ensemble expected to return to Bangladesh on September 22.
