Abhishek Bachchan reveals why Jaipur holds special significance for his career and personal life

Bollywood actor Abhishek Bachchan has revealed that the city of Jaipur holds profound personal and professional significance, serving as a lucky charm for his career milestones and his relationship with actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan.
The actor, son of Bollywood legend Amitabh Bachchan, made his film debut in the 2000 movie Refugee, with parts of the production filmed in Jaipur. Speaking recently on a podcast, Bachchan explained that he chose Jaipur to house his Pro Kabaddi League franchise, Jaipur Pink Panthers, because he views the city as a fortunate starting point for his ventures.
The connection to the city extends to his family life as well. The name of his sports team was inspired by his daughter, Aaradhya, as pink was her favorite color at the time the team was established in 2014.
Jaipur also serves as a sentimental backdrop for the actor’s romance with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. The couple, who have been married for 19 years, first developed their bond while filming Umrao Jaan in 2006, which was partially shot in the city. Their collaborative filmography began years earlier with the 2000 film Dhai Akshar Prem Ke, followed by Kuch Naa Kaho, Bunty Aur Babli, and Dhoom 2. Their partnership in the 2007 film Guru preceded their official engagement and subsequent marriage.
Reflecting on his long-standing marriage, Bachchan described his wife as his soulmate. He humorously attributed the longevity of their relationship to a simple daily practice, suggesting that apologizing three times a day helps maintain harmony.
