Her husband, Jashim Uddin Ratan, who works at a mobile phone retail shop, has exhausted the family’s meager savings to fund years of continuous treatment. According to her attending physicians, Akter requires urgent, specialized surgical intervention and advanced medical procedures to improve her chances of recovery. However, the financial burden of these essential treatments has exceeded the family’s capacity to pay.
