Continental Hospital marks two decades of healthcare service in Dhaka with commitment to clinical excellence

Continental Hospital, a Joint Commission International (JCI)-accredited healthcare facility based in Gulshan, Dhaka, marked its 20th anniversary on Monday with a renewed commitment to patient care and medical excellence. The milestone event featured a series of commemorative activities involving hospital management, medical staff, and employees.

To mark the occasion, the hospital hosted a public health initiative, offering complimentary preventative health screenings in its lobby throughout the day. The program provided diagnostic services to patients and their families. Following the screenings, staff planted 20 diverse tree species on the hospital premises, followed by a prayer service and Quran recitation to honor the well-being and longevity of the patients.

The anniversary ceremony was attended by the hospital’s board members, executive leadership, physicians, nursing staff, and senior administrators. Ahmed Ismail Hossain, Chairman of Continental Hospital PLC, lauded the institution’s two decades of dedicated service, noting that the hospital has evolved into a trusted destination for specialized care by integrating modern technology, experienced professionals, and patient-centric protocols.

Managing Director and CEO Malik Talha Ismail Bari highlighted several key operational milestones achieved over the past 20 years. According to hospital data, the facility has provided care to more than 850,000 registered patients and handled over 285,000 emergency cases. Additional specialized services include the performance of more than 23,000 cardiac surgeries, the administration of radiation therapy to over 230,000 cancer patients, and the provision of dialysis services for more than 363,500 kidney patients.

Addressing the assembly, Bari emphasized that behind every statistic lies a narrative of trust between the institution and the families it serves. He stated that these achievements reinforce the hospital’s dedication to its operational philosophy, summarized by the slogan “We Care More.”
