‘Rangbazar’ based on real events released on OTT

The movie ‘Rangbazar’ is based on the true story of razing a 400-year-old sex village in one night. Gholam Rabbani wrote the screenplay of this movie based on the story of Tamjid Atul. Producer Rashid Palash had planned to release the film in theaters after Eid-ul-Adha. But before it hit the big screen, its full HD print was leaked on social media earlier this month. Those concerned tried to remove the movie ‘Rangbazar’ from various internet media but failed.
In such a situation, to save the movie ‘Rangbazar’ from piracy, the production company has decided to release it on the OTT platform. As a result, the movie is streaming on OTT platform ‘Cinematic’ from Sunday (May 17).
Regarding the release on OTT, the producer Rashid Palash told the media that the movie ‘Rangbazar’ had to be released on OTT suddenly due to the decision of the producer as it was leaked on social media. Rashid Palash also said that even though he was upset as a producer because the big screen movie came like this, there was no other option for the producer to escape from the hands of piracy.
Most of the scenes of the movie ‘Rangbazar’ produced by Live Technologies based on real events were shot in Daulatdia sex village. Pia Jannatul, Shampa Reza, Nazneen Hasan Chumki, Tanjika Amin, Moushumi Hamid, Lutfar Rahman George and Mahmudul Islam Mithu have acted in various roles in the movie ‘Rangbazar’.
