Faria: Daily Struggles Persist Beneath the Glamour

Popular Dhallywood actress Nusrat Faria recently offered a candid glimpse into the persistent struggles, mental pressures, and daily realities that define her acclaimed career in acting, hosting, and music. Speaking at an event, Faria underscored that her journey to stardom has been far from smooth, marked instead by continuous challenges and unwavering self-belief.
Faria emphasized that “nothing can be achieved in life without struggle.” She likened her experience to diligent students who study extensively but never attain top ranks. “I was one of them,” she explained. “I tried very hard but never came first, second, or third.” She recalled confiding in her mother, lamenting her inability to achieve better results despite immense effort. Her mother’s advice was simple yet profound: “Maybe what you are doing is practicing; there is no alternative to hard work.”
Despite her extensive portfolio, which includes 23 films, seven to eight songs, and over 550 performances both domestically and internationally, Faria admitted to battling persistent anxiety. “Every time I stand on stage or in front of the camera, I feel just as tense, just as nervous,” she said. “I feel like it’s my first take, and it’s my last take.”
She highlighted the stark contrast between the perceived glamour of the entertainment industry and its demanding reality. “The place we work in, especially with all the fame, seems very dazzling. But there’s a struggle every single day,” Faria stated. “We have to be our best every day, look our best, speak our best, and deliver our best performance.”
The actress also addressed the relentless scrutiny faced by public figures on social media. Faria noted that even minor changes in appearance or slight missteps can trigger a barrage of criticism. “If we look an inch fatter one day, social media will tear us apart the next, saying ‘Look, the actress has gained weight’,” she explained. “And if we say one inch wrong, criticism starts then too. We have no option but to give our best.”
