Vaibhav Suryavanshi has etched his name into the Indian Premier League (IPL) history books, shattering Chris Gayle’s long-standing record for the fastest 50 sixes in the tournament. The young batsman achieved this milestone during his explosive century against Hyderabad on Saturday, underscoring his potent batting prowess despite his age.
Suryavanshi reached his 50th six in his 15th IPL innings, completing the feat in a blistering 36 balls on his way to a century. This eclipses the previous record held by West Indian legend Chris Gayle, who had taken 21 innings to hit the same number of sixes in his illustrious IPL career.
