Local people arrested two Bangladeshi youths on charges of infiltrating into India through North Jhaukuti border of Nageshwari Upazila of Kurigram. They were arrested last Sunday night from Takimari area of ​​Dhubri district of Assam state of India. They were later handed over to the Indian Border Security Force (BSF).

The two arrested are Solaiman Hossain son of Abdul Gafur of Bagmara village of Narayanpur union of Nageshwari upazila and Sohag Mia son of deceased Anwar Hossain of Dakshin Baldia Kumartari village of Bhurungamari upazila.

According to BGB and local sources, they entered Takimari area of ​​Dhubri district of Assam state of India through the area adjacent to international boundary pillar number 1037 of North Jhaukuti border last night. At that time the local residents arrested them and handed them over to the BSF. Later, BSF informed Bangladesh Border Guard (BGB) about the detention of two Bangladeshis. They are being detained by the BSF till the last news at 2 o’clock on Monday.
