Over one hundred supporters, representing nations including Brazil, Argentina, Germany, France, and Spain, gathered near the Shah Makhdum Eidgah ground, transforming the city streets into a vibrant display of global football culture.

Organized by the collective “Football Fans of Rajshahi,” the event featured a procession that navigated through major city landmarks, including the CNB intersection, Monichattar, Zero Point, and the Talaimari flyovers. Participants draped in jerseys and carrying national flags traded friendly slogans and good-natured banter throughout the route, emphasizing that their competitive spirit was confined strictly to the pitch.

Sakeb Sarkar, one of the primary organizers, stated that the initiative aimed to dismantle the factionalism often seen between opposing fanbases. By bringing diverse groups together, the organizers sought to project a positive image of sportsmanship, explicitly discouraging the antisocial behavior that sometimes arises from regional sports rivalries. Others, such as Germany fan Soikat Jowardar, noted that while the teasing between supporters of different nations remains part of the fun, the underlying bonds of the local community remain unaffected by the outcomes of individual matches.
