Before this, the incident of beating the young man took place last Monday. He was beaten with a rope in front of Malirhat Belalpara Jame Masjid in Ward No. 3 of Pomra Union in Rangunia. The police said that the youth was severely beaten with a stick. Apart from this, his nails were also removed with pliers.

According to local residents, the young man is the muezzin of a mosque. He went to Pomra area of ​​Rangunia in search of employment in another mosque. There he was beaten for stealing the mosque’s microphone and battery.

When a video of the beating went viral on social media, many criticized it. In this incident, the victim’s sister filed a case at Rangunia Model Police Station as a plaintiff. After that, police raided and arrested four people. They are – Md. Zahir Ahmed (48), Md. Osman (33) and Md. Jasim (37), Md. Abbas Uddin (43).
