Under the contract, postal life insurance policies — whole life, term, fixed and marriage — can be paid in cash.
There are about two lakh customers in postal life insurance service. These customers could deposit the installments only after going to the post office within the specified time for installments. As a result of this agreement, customers will now have the convenience and security of paying premiums from cash accounts at any time.
Customers can go to ‘Bill Pay’ option of their cash app and select ‘Postal Life Insurance’ or ‘PLI’ and pay the installments by entering the policy number and required details. As soon as the payment is successful, the customer will receive a digital receipt and confirmation message, which will serve as future proof.
On the occasion, Director General of Postal Department Kazi Asadul Islam said that since the opportunity to pay premium through cash has been created, the customers will get faster service, as well as the digital transformation of the postal department will be accelerated.
