Molten body recovered from Haor farm in Netrakona

The police have recovered the body of an unidentified person from a haor paddy field in Mohanganj upazila of Netrokona. The body was recovered from Dhali Hawar in Barantar area last Monday night.

According to local and police sources, yesterday evening, local farmers were returning home after cutting paddy in Dhali Howar. At that time, they found a dead body of a man in a paddy field. On receiving information, the police recovered the body and took it to the police station. The body has been sent to Netrakona Modern Sadar Hospital morgue for post-mortem on Tuesday morning.

Ashraf Chowdhury, a UP member of the local Gaglajur union, said that farmers found a charred body lying in the paddy field near the Sluicegate in Howar, Delhi, in the evening. The police recovered the body around eight o’clock. The age of the person will be around 40 years.

Hafizul Islam, officer-in-charge of Mohanganj police station, said that the distance from the police station to the incident site is about 27 kilometers. So it took some time to recover the body. Fingerprint identification is not possible as the body has melted. It is believed that the miscreants killed the person and left the body in a deserted place. The incident will be investigated and appropriate action will be taken.
