Fatal dispute over digital media claims life of man named Imon

A local court in Madaripur has received a detailed confession regarding the premeditated murder of a college student named Emon, who was killed on May 13, 2021, during the Eid-ul-Fitr holiday. According to findings from the Police Bureau of Investigation (PBI), the victim was lured to his death by a former girlfriend, who allegedly orchestrated the killing to prevent the disclosure of compromising photos and videos.
The investigation revealed that the primary suspect conspired with her fiancé, Kamruzzaman, and several accomplices to carry out the murder. The suspects reportedly coordinated a meeting with Emon at a local college campus, where they provided him with a beverage laced with sedative drugs.
Once the victim was incapacitated, the group transported him to the banks of the Arial Khan River. Over the course of a harrowing four-and-a-half-hour ordeal, the conspirators proceeded to slit the student’s throat, ultimately resulting in his death. Following an extensive inquiry into the circumstances of the crime, the former girlfriend has formally confessed to her role in the planning and execution of the murder before the court.
