A young man from Kishoreganj lost his life in the battlefield after going to Russia in the hope of getting a job

Karimganj upazila of Kishoreganj was killed in a drone attack on the border of Ukraine. A Bangladeshi youth named Jahangir Hossain (25). He was fighting for Russia.
Last Thursday night, Jahangir’s friend Mridul released a video message on social media Facebook and announced the news of his death. Mridul is also working in the same army camp in Russia. His home is in Tangail.
Jahangir’s family claims that Jahangir was tricked into joining the Russian army through the lure of employment. He is a resident of Kandail Bagpara village in Jayka Union of Karimganj.
According to Mridul’s video message and family sources, there was a drone attack on the border of Russia-controlled Ukraine on May 18. In this incident, out of four Bangladeshis, three were killed and one was injured. The other two killed are Md. Madaripur. Suruj Kazi and Comilla. Yusuf Khan Mridul was not present at the time of the incident. Later he confirmed the matter to Jahangir’s family.
Mridul complained in the video message, “Arafa Al Monowar Agency is fully responsible for such an accident. We lost three friends because of their deception.’
Jahangir’s cousin. Ramzan said that about three and a half months ago, Jahangir was sent to Russia for a job in a company. There he was first given a job in a pig farm. After working for a month, when he fell ill, he was promised a job in a restaurant. But later Jahangir and seven Bangladeshis were handed over to the Russian army by the concerned agency. After about two months of training, they were sent to war. Within a week, three people including Jahangir were killed in a drone attack.

According to family sources, Jahangir was the eldest among three siblings. His father died two years ago. he is married He has a two-year-old son.
Jaika Union Parishad Chairman Humayun Kabir said, “I am very shocked to hear the incident. My deepest condolences to Jahangir Hossain’s family.
Karimganj Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Emranul Kabir said, “I have spoken to Jahangir’s family and confirmed that he is dead.”
Earlier, on May 2, he was killed in a drone attack on the border of Ukraine. Riyad Rashid (28). He is the son of Abdur Rashid of Mazhirkona village of Zafrabad union in Karimganj, Kishoreganj.
