The death of India’s legendary musician Asha Bhosle is mourning across the country. From showbiz in India to the entire subcontinent, people from different fields are paying their respects and condolences to this talented singer.
Already, Priyanka Chopra, Udit Narayan, AR Rahman, Alka Yagnik and actress Kajol have remembered this legend by paying tribute to him. Superstar Shahrukh Khan gave an emotional Facebook post remembering this musician who gave all the most popular songs in Bollywood in the nineties.
Sharing a picture of himself with Asha Bhosle, the Bollywood king captioned it, ‘The news of Asha Tai’s (Asha Bhosle) passing away is truly heartbreaking… Her voice was one of the pillars of Indian cinema and will continue to reverberate around the world for centuries to come.’ He is a genius that transcends time. He always showered me with love and blessings and I will miss him dearly. I hope you are well on the other side… I love you so much.’
Asha Bhosle breathed her last under treatment at Breach Candy Hospital in Mumbai on Sunday (April 12). His last rites will be performed at Mumbai’s Shivaji Park on Monday (April 13) at 4 pm. He has received numerous awards including India’s highest film honor ‘Dadasaheb Phalke Award’ and ‘Padma Vibhushan’ for his outstanding contribution to music.
