Raveena Tandon Recalls Handling Dire Past Incident

Bollywood actress Raveena Tandon recently recounted a harrowing experience from 2024, when a mob of approximately 30 individuals gathered outside her Bandra home in Mumbai, levelling a false accusation that her car had struck a woman—an incident she now attributes to a pre-meditated extortion plot.
Despite the initial public uproar and the serious allegations against Tandon, subsequent CCTV footage conclusively demonstrated that her vehicle had not come into contact with anyone. In a recent interview, Tandon clarified that the entire scenario was an elaborate plan to extort money from her. She stated that the group deliberately attempted to enter her residence, aiming to escalate the situation and demand cash.
The actress described the situation as terrifying, noting that her phone was seized, preventing her from contacting the police for help. With her husband, Anil Thadani, at his office and her children present in the house, Tandon prioritized her family’s safety, stepping forward herself to confront the crowd. She explained that efforts were being made to falsely implicate her long-time driver, prompting her to intervene directly.
“As I stepped out, about 30 men surrounded me,” Tandon recalled. “They began assaulting my driver. I pulled him inside the house. Subsequently, one individual managed to force his way in, and I grabbed him by his collar and pulled him back outside.”
Tandon also expressed concern over security in an affluent neighbourhood like Bandra, highlighting the vulnerability she felt. Following a thorough review of the CCTV footage, the Mumbai Police officially confirmed that the allegations made against Raveena Tandon were entirely baseless.
