Raveena Tandon avoids injury after being lunged at by dog during promotional event

Bollywood actress Raveena Tandon narrowly avoided injury during a promotional event for the film “Oh My Dog” in Mumbai on Thursday, when a canine co-star unexpectedly lunged at her on the red carpet. The incident occurred as Tandon stepped onto the stage, prompting the dog to bark aggressively and attempt to bite the actress.
Tandon managed to dodge the animal’s strike, though the dog successfully caught a loose thread of her attire in its mouth. Despite the tense moment, the actress remained notably composed. Rather than retreating, she opted to approach the animal calmly in an attempt to soothe it, a gesture that drew significant praise from social media users who commended her patience and genuine affection for animals. Many online observers suggested the dog may have simply become overwhelmed by the high-pressure environment of the film promotion.
The film, directed by Amit Rai, is a family-oriented drama that centers on a courageous dog who helps expose a criminal network involved in canine trafficking. Produced under the banners of Babu Lal Bioscope and Thinking Hats Entertainment, the movie features an ensemble cast including Pankaj Tripathi, Pavan Malhotra, Mahi Rai, Rajesh Kumar, and Geeta Agrawal.
Following the promotional event, the film is scheduled for a wide theatrical release on Friday, August 7. The project, which emphasizes the deep bond between humans and their canine companions, has garnered attention for its narrative focus on animal welfare and heroism.
