In a live broadcast on her verified Facebook account Monday evening, the actress, known for her close ties to the Awami League, broke down as she described the emotional toll of the past several months.
Jyoti, who was previously identified as an active member of the “Alo Ashbei” WhatsApp group and has faced allegations related to the suppression of the anti-discrimination student movement, stated that she has reached a breaking point. During the broadcast, she revealed that she has been largely unemployed for the past two years, an isolation she attributes to her political affiliations and ideological stance.
The actress described a cycle of relentless online bullying, threats, and personal attacks that have left her feeling increasingly vulnerable. According to Jyoti, these circumstances have forced her to rely on financial support from her parents, a reality that has compounded her emotional suffering.
