Bollywood Actor Arjun Rampal Marries Longtime Partner Gabriella Demetriades in Goa Civil Ceremony

Bollywood actor Arjun Rampal has officially married South African model Gabriella Demetriades in a private legal ceremony in Goa, capping an eight-year partnership that had already produced two children.

The couple formalised their union at the Sub-Registrar’s office in Mapusa, North Goa, under the provisions of the Goa Civil Code. Eschewing traditional lavish celebrations, the pair arrived at the office in modest attire accompanied by a small group of close friends. Sub-Registrar Surja Varnekar confirmed the registration took place at approximately 4:00 p.m., noting that the couple secured special permission to expedite the mandatory 15-day waiting period typically required between legal filings.

Rampal and Demetriades began their relationship in 2018. They share two sons: Arik, born in 2019, and Ariv, born in 2023. Following an engagement in 2025, the couple opted to provide legal recognition to their long-standing partnership this year.

Addressing his previous reluctance to marry, Rampal had historically characterized marriage as merely a piece of paper, suggesting in past interviews that formal rituals could potentially alter the organic flow of a relationship. Despite his prior stance, he maintained that he was never against the institution of marriage, preferring instead to allow their bond to develop on its own terms before seeking legal validation.

This marriage marks the second for the 53-year-old actor. Rampal was previously married to former Miss India Mehr Jesia from 1998 until their divorce in 2019. That 21-year marriage produced two daughters, Mahika and Myra. Despite the separation, Rampal has maintained an active role in his daughters’ lives, balancing his responsibilities toward his children from his first marriage alongside his life with Demetriades.
