There has been a complaint of obstructing the organization of Boishakhi Mela at the Rajuk Rehabilitation Project DIT Project Ground in the capital’s Merul Badda. However, the police say that the organization of the fair has been stopped due to the confrontation between the two local parties.

According to a local source, some local leaders and activists of BNP organized this fair. However, another party of BNP along with Jatiya Nagrik Party (NCP) and Jamaat-e-Islami leaders and workers prevented the organization of the fair. Preparations for organizing the fair were going on there for a week. In the face of obstacles, the organizers opened the shops on Sunday.
