Nischar delegation meeting with the bridge minister

A meeting of the Safe Road Movement was held with the Minister of Road Transport and Bridges, Railways and Shipping Sheikh Rabiul Alam MP.
In the meeting, the road safety situation of the country, measures to reduce accidents and increase public awareness were discussed in detail.
At that time, Sheikh Rabiul Alam said that the government has already taken multidimensional initiatives to prevent road accidents. Efforts are underway to reduce accidents by improving road infrastructure, introducing modern traffic management on highways, strengthening driver training and enforcing laws.
He praised the activities of the ‘Safe Road Chai’ organization and said that their long-term agitation and awareness activities have had a positive impact on the public mind.
The delegation of Want Safe Roads (NISCHA) said that the current government’s activities and especially your (Minister’s) sincere initiative are playing an important role in strengthening road safety.
They praised the leadership of the minister and said that speed control on highways to prevent road accidents, campaign against unfit vehicles, development of driver training and mandatory road safety education in educational institutions should be taken to increase public awareness by identifying accident prone places.
Bridges Minister assured serious consideration of the proposals of the delegation and said that he will give instructions to the concerned departments to take necessary measures.
At the end of the meeting, both sides expressed hope to jointly strengthen road safety activities in the future.
