Dhallywood actress Shabnam Bubly set to resume filming following maternity break

Dhallywood actress Shabnam Bubly is preparing to return to the screen following a prolonged period of public and professional absence. The actress, who has maintained a low profile amid intense media speculation regarding her personal life and the recent birth of her daughter with actor Shakib Khan, is slated to star in director Zahid Hossain’s upcoming feature, “Dhakaiya Devdas.”
The production marks Bubly’s first project since her hiatus, during which time she remained absent from promotional events, including the release of Raihan Rafi’s “Pressure Cooker.” While the actress has remained silent regarding the rumors surrounding her family life and has avoided direct media contact, her return to the set appears imminent. According to director Zahid Hossain, communication with Bubly has been established, and her participation in the film is tentatively scheduled for September, pending her physical recovery and personal commitments.
In “Dhakaiya Devdas,” Bubly will star alongside actor Ador Azad, whose recent performance in “Pinik” failed to gain significant traction with audiences. The film, which promises to explore the cultural tapestry of Old Dhaka, centers on the complex relationship between a Shia youth and a Sunni woman. Director Zahid Hossain noted that the production will incorporate both Bengali and Urdu dialogue to reflect the authentic linguistic atmosphere of the setting.
Production work for the film is already underway, with the crew focusing on sequences that do not require Bubly’s immediate presence. By staggering the filming schedule, the production team intends to accommodate the actress’s need for maternity recovery time, ensuring her eventual return to the camera is seamless.
