6 movies of Bangladesh in film festival in London

The week-long event will begin on May 17 at the Genesis Cinema in East London and continue until May 23.
More than 25 films from 10 countries will be screened at the festival. It has Bangladesh’s ‘Agantuk’ as the opening film. The film is directed by Suman Dhar. It stars Pooja Cheri and Shyamal Mawla.
Other selected movies from Bangladesh include Naya Manoos (Director: Sohail Rana Bayati), Udal (Director: Zobaidur Rahman), Naya Note (Director: Ananya Pratik Chowdhury), The University of Chankharpul (Director: Akash Haque) and The Story of a Rock (Director: Zak Mir).
Among them, the movie Naya Manhoos will be screened on the second day of the festival at 5.45 pm. The film’s director Sohail Rana Bayati said that it carries a message of communal harmony and tries to reach the audience through a simple story.
Masum Reza wrote the screenplay and dialogues of ‘Naya Manhoo’ based on Bednar Baluchare’s novel.
The participation of several films of Bangladesh in this international festival is seen as a positive message for the country’s film industry.
