Teenager found dead in Chittagong following failure in SSC examinations

Police recovered the body of a 19-year-old student from a residence in the Bakolia area of Chattogram on Tuesday morning, one day after the publication of the Secondary School Certificate (SSC) examination results.
Family members discovered the student hanging inside a room at their home and alerted local authorities. Officers from the Bakolia Police Station responded to the scene and recovered the body at approximately 11:30 a.m.
According to statements provided by the family to investigators, the teenager had been suffering from significant distress following a failure to pass the SSC examinations, which were officially released on Monday.
Bakolia Police Station Officer-in-Charge Mohammad Jahedul Kabir stated that preliminary findings suggest the death was a suicide linked to the student’s academic performance.
The body has been transferred to the Chattogram Medical College Hospital morgue for an autopsy. Authorities confirmed that legal proceedings regarding the incident are currently underway.
