PM Orders Police: Ensure Public Safety

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman on Sunday called on police forces to dedicate themselves with utmost sincerity and capability to ensure the peace and security of the nation’s citizens. The appeal was made during the inaugural ceremony of ‘Police Week-2026’ at the Rajarbagh Police Lines Field in the capital.
Addressing the gathering, Rahman underscored the critical role of law enforcement, stating, “The peace and security of the country’s people are most dependent on the role of the police.”

He further articulated the government’s expectations, adding, “It is the government’s expectation that you will work with all your might and capability to ensure the safety of the people’s lives and property.”
