Pedestrian killed after being struck by bus in Dhaka

A pedestrian was killed Sunday afternoon in a fatal collision in the Wireless Gate area of Moghbazar, Dhaka, after being struck by both a motorcycle and a passenger bus.

Witnesses reported that the victim was initially struck by a motorcycle, which caused him to fall onto the road. Immediately following the impact, an Ajmeri Glory transport bus ran over the individual, resulting in his death at the scene.

According to the Hatirjheel police, the motorcycle operator, identified as Zahid, has been taken into custody. Authorities have yet to confirm the identity of the deceased.

Sub-Inspector Md. Al Amin of the Hatirjheel Police Station stated that the body has been transported to Sirajul Islam Medical College Hospital for further procedures. Local law enforcement officials are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the incident.
