Police have arrested an accused in the RAB member’s murder case in Salimpur forest of Sitakunda, Chittagong. He was arrested in a raid in South Salimpur area of ​​Salimpur Union at around 9:30 pm on Wednesday. He is accused in the murder case of RAB Deputy Assistant Director-DAD (Naib Subedar) Motaleb Hossain Bhuiyan.

The arrested person’s name is Abul Kashem (43). According to police, Abul Kashem Jungle is known as Nala Kashem in Salimpur area. He is the top terrorist of that area. He has 15 cases of murder, extortion, weapons and robbery. 6 bullets, pistol and a magazine were recovered from him during the arrest.

Sitakunda Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Mohinul Islam told Prothom Alo that they conducted an operation in South Salimpur based on specific information. At that time, Abul Kashem tried to escape after sensing the presence of the police. He was later chased and arrested. But his two accomplices escaped. Another case will be filed against him under the Arms Act. He will be sent to jail today by the court.
