In Mymensingh Medical College Hospital, the death of children with measles and symptoms of measles does not stop. Deaths occur almost every day. Another child died on Monday. 25 children died due to this. 19 new children were admitted in 24 hours. Currently 79 children are under treatment.

The deceased 7-month-old child Rabia is the daughter of Abdur Rahim of Tekipara village in Madhupur upazila of Tangail. Yesterday, Monday around 11:30 am, the child died in the measles isolation ward. Earlier on April 30, the child was admitted with symptoms of measles. The child died due to pneumonia and heart failure along with measles symptoms, the death certificate said.

The hospital authorities said that 19 children were newly admitted to the Measles Isolation Ward of Mymensingh Medical College Hospital between 8:00 a.m. on Monday and 8:00 a.m. on Tuesday. From March 17 to this morning, 1,888 children have been admitted with symptoms of measles. Among them, 984 children were discharged from the hospital. 25 children died. Currently 79 children are under treatment. 21 more children have recovered and been discharged from the hospital in the last 24 hours. No child was referred at this time.

Mymensingh Medical College Hospital Assistant Director (Administration) Mohammad Mainuddin Khan said that one more child died in the last 24 hours. During this period, 19 new children were admitted with symptoms of measles.
