A businessman of Riazuddin Bazar had to give up his life for giving a job to a friend who returned from exile in Chittagong. The businessman named Didarul Alame was killed by his friend Abu Tayyab.
The incident took place at Moijjartek area of Karnaphuli upazila at around 10 pm on Friday (March 10). In this incident, the killer friend Abu Taiyab was sent to jail through the court on Saturday after his arrest.

Didarul Alam Patiar is the son of deceased Ahmed Mia of Kalarpole Mohammad Nagar area of Kolagaon Union. Didarul has three daughters and one son. Arrested Abu Taib son of deceased Kabir Ahmed of the same area.
Police and witnesses said that Didar and Taiyab were mutual friends. Taiyab lived in exile. After losing his job from abroad and coming back to the country, Dida’s friend’s suffering will be eased. But for some time, Tayyab’s disharmony was going on with Didar due to the transaction of business money.
At around 10 o’clock on Friday night, Tayyab and his men started to gather in Moijjartek area on their way back from their house in Didar Patia Kolagaon village to Baklia’s house in the city. They found Didar and attacked her. Taiyab hit Didar on the head with a brick at one point. He immediately fell to the ground. Taiyab laid Didar on the ground with his own hands. When a video of the attack went viral on social media, there was a storm of criticism.
Didar was taken to the Chittagong Medical College (CHMEC) Hospital by the local people while he was unconscious, where the doctor on duty declared him dead. Meanwhile, the local crowd caught Taiyab from the spot and handed him over to the police. The police later took him into their custody.
The police also said that Didarul Alam has a stationery shop in Rayazuddin Bazar of the city. He also used to do hundi business. In addition to giving jobs to Taiyab, a friend who returned abroad, he employed him in the hundi business. And that’s it for Didar.
Taiyab’s family claims – Taiyab owed Tk 1 crore 80 lakh to Didarul. They came to know that Didarul left his house in the city without paying the money and moved to another place. On Friday night, when Didarul met Didarul and demanded the due money, the two got into an argument. Didarul fell in the scuffle and suffered a severe head injury. He died in this.
