Three children were raped in one day in Chittagong city. The incident took place in Doublemooring and Bayezid Bostami areas of the city on Friday. Police have arrested two people in this incident.
According to the police, two children aged 7 and 11 years were called to an empty plot in the area of Doublemooring police station and attempted to be raped. When the people around saw the matter, the accused Md. Ehsan (55) was caught and beaten. Then the local people got angry when the police went to arrest the accused. Later, the police arrested the accused Ehsan and took him to the police station after convincing the people. Accusing Ehsan in this incident, the mother of a child has filed a case at the Doublemooring police station under the Women and Child Abuse Prevention Act. Arrested Ehsan is a home security guard.

Meanwhile, Bayezid Bostami tried to rape a five-year-old child by giving chocolates to the neighbor Md. Hassan The child is currently undergoing treatment at the One-Stop Crisis Center of Chittagong Medical College Hospital.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Bayezid Bostami Police Station, Abdul Karim told Prothom Alo that the neighbor Md. Hasan (42) has been arrested. A case has been filed in this incident.

It is to be noted that earlier on Thursday, the police arrested a man named Monir Hossain (30) in the case of raping a 4-year-old child in the Ghata area of Baklia police station. Local people stopped him while bringing him to the police station. They demanded that the accused be handed over to them. There have been incidents of running back and forth between the police and the angry people over the matter.
Police fired teargas shells and sound grenades to control the situation. The angry people became more angry. They started protesting by lighting fire on the road. Later, when the power went out around 10 pm, the police took the accused Monir into their custody. After knowing this, people became even more angry. At one point the police car was set on fire. On the way to surround the Baklia police station, there was a chase with the police at Tulatali area of the Shah Amanat bridge junction road at midnight.
Later, when the child’s father filed a complaint with the police station, the accused Monir confessed to the rape and gave a statement in the court today. Later the court sent him to jail.
