Sajjadur Rahman named new commissioner of Khulna Metropolitan Police

The government has appointed Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of the Armed Police Battalion (APBn) Md. Sazzadur Rahman as the new commissioner of the Khulna Metropolitan Police (KMP).
An official notification issued Wednesday by the Police-1 branch of the Ministry of Home Affairs confirmed the transition. Signed by Deputy Secretary Tawsif Ahmed, the order mandates that the appointment takes effect immediately in the interest of public service.
Sazzadur Rahman succeeds former KMP Commissioner Mohammad Jahidul Hasan, who was reassigned to the position of DIG for the Mymensingh Range on July 21.
