Prime Minister and BNP Chairman Tarek Rahman is going to Ziabari in Bagbari village of Gabtali Upazila of Gabtali Upazila on April 20 after almost two decades. Deputy Commissioner Taufiqur Rahman confirmed the Prime Minister’s visit to Bogra. There has been great enthusiasm among the leaders and workers as well as among the local residents around this visit of the Prime Minister.

Indaz Ali, a farmer of Bagbari, enthusiastically said, “After twenty years, Hamakere returned to his house and became the Prime Minister of the country.” After a few days of homelessness, when you return home from abroad, Jinka feels happy, Singha feels happy. I will give a fake Hamagarak family card to Hamakere, we will dig a canal, we will provide treatment and medicine in the hospital, it will be of great benefit to Hamakere.’

Emdad Ahmed, a businessman of the same area, said that the local people are excited about the news that Prime Minister Tariq Rahman, the son of the house, is returning home after two decades. Martyr Ziaur Rahman’s ancestral home – Bagbari has not seen any development in 17 long years of this crime. Now there is only one demand of the local people to Prime Minister Tariq Rahman, that Bagbari should be declared an upazila. Apart from this, the residents have raised several demands including the governmentization of Shaheed Ziaur Rahman Degree College, establishment of health complex, police station.

It is known that on that day the Prime Minister will officially inaugurate the e-bailbond (online filing of bail bonds) program in 15 districts of the country from the Bogra court premises.

Member of Parliament for Bogra-7 (Gabatli-Shajahanpur) Constituency Morshed Milton told Prothom Alo that after two long decades, the Prime Minister is visiting his ancestral village of Bagbari on April 20. He finally came to his ancestral home on December 24, 2006. After 20 long years, the son of the family returned home as the Prime Minister, and the area is in chaos.

According to several sources, the Prime Minister will leave for Bogra by helicopter from Tejgaon Airport in the capital at 9:30 am that day. Landing at Bogra Police Lines ground helipad at 10:30 am and from there by car will reach District Judge court premises at 11:15 pm. He will inaugurate the e-bailbond program there. Then he will go to Bagbari village of Gabtali by road. Shaheed Ziaur Rahman will inaugurate the family card distribution program at Degree College ground at 12:15 PM. Along with this, he will inaugurate the excavation work of Chowkirdah Canal which runs along the side of Bagbari village. Bagbari Ziaur Rahman will inaugurate the village hospital at 1:15 pm. At 2 o’clock he will go to Bogra Circuit House by road after visiting his ancestral home. Return to Dhaka by helicopter in the afternoon.

Bogra District BNP Acting General Secretary and Member of Parliament Mosharf Hossain told Prothom Alo that the newly elected Member of Parliament of Bogra-6 constituency and District BNP President Rezaul Karim Badsha along with them met the parliament leader and the Prime Minister at Jatiya Sangsad Bhavan. At that time, the Prime Minister himself confirmed the visit to Bogra on April 20. During the visit, he will visit the ancestral home (Ziabari) of Bagbari village of Nashipur union in Gabtali, the birthplace of martyred President Ziaur Rahman.
