5 children were born together, mother returned home with all of them healthy

On Friday (April 10) afternoon, housewife Masuma Akhter (30) was showered with love from the entire community of Digabo village in Tok Union of Kapasia. There was great joy among the locals as they returned home with 5 newborns.

According to family sources, she was admitted to the Bangladesh Medical University (PG) hospital in the capital on April 5 with labor pains. There she gave birth to 5 children under the supervision of expert doctors. Among them 3 boys and 2 girls. All mothers and newborns are currently safe and sound.  

Doctor Dr. Kamruzzaman Salim said, usually in these cases, the weight of children is very low and the risk is high. But the combined weight of these five children is about 8 kg. The average weight of each child is between 1 kg 400 g and 1 kg 500 g, which is quite promising in this situation. The case of 5 healthy babies born together in Bangladesh has not been seen before. 

When this rare news spread in the area, eager people gathered at Kajol Mia’s house. People come from far and wide to catch a glimpse of the children. There is a lot of positive discussion about the issue on social media as well. Although the incident has created discussions across the country, the parents of the children have not agreed to give any direct interview to the media. They are currently prioritizing the health of the children and maintaining the family’s privacy.
