Chaksu protests against attacks on Daksu leaders Zubair and Musaddiq

The Central Student Union of Chittagong University (CHAKSU) held a protest march and rally against the attack on Daksu leader Zubair Bin Neshari (AB Zubair) and Musaddiq Ali Ibn Mohammad at Shahbag in the capital. The attack on journalists working in Dhaka University was also protested in this program. The program was held at 11:30 pm on Thursday night at the university’s goal square.
The protest procession started from Gol Chatwar to University Suhrawardy, Alaol Hall, Security Office, then again came back to Gol Chatwar and ended. Chaksur leaders raised various slogans against Chhatra Dal. After that they held a short rally in the square.
Ishaq Bhunya, Secretary of Chaksu Communications and Housing Affairs said in the rally, “We saw Musaddik fighting against Hasina, Chhatra Dal leaders and activists attacked Musaddik and AB Zubair inside the police station. We will not tolerate any more terrorism. Terrorism and occupation will not continue in the campus.
Chaksur General Secretary (GS) Saeed bin Habib said, “When trying to rescue a trapped student, the elected representatives of Daksur were attacked. Even journalists have been attacked. They have done similar incidents in Kuwait before. By bringing outsiders to this university, they are deliberately creating an atmosphere of conflict. They also attacked Chittagong City College procession and even cut the leg veins. You were oppressed, don’t be oppressors, you have seen the consequences of oppressors.
Chaksur Vice President (VP) Md. Ibrahim said, ‘After August 5, we thought the politics of terror would end. But they want to start politics of terror again. This is because they have no organizational base. Their justice must be ensured.
Chaksur Literature, Culture and Publication Secretary Harezul Islam, Office Secretary Abdullah Al Noman, Career Development and International Affairs Secretary Mehdi Hasan, Liberation War and Democratic Movement Affairs Secretary Monayem Sharif, Science and Information Technology Affairs Secretary Mahbubur Rahman and others were also present in the protest program.
