On the occasion of the holy Eid-ul-Azha, BGB has been deployed in Dhaka and surrounding areas to maintain law and order situation, control traffic and ensure smooth movement of the public.
This information was given in a post given on the verified Facebook page of BGB on Thursday.
The areas where BGB has been deployed are New Market in Rajdhani, Elevated Expressway, Nabinagar and Bypile in Savar, Gazipur City Corporation and Gazipur Chowrasta.
According to the Facebook post of BGB, according to the instructions of the government, BGB members will perform their duties from 7 days before Eid to 3 days after Eid.
The Facebook post also said that BGB members will work to ensure a safe and smooth Eid journey for the public. They will assist in the functioning of mobile courts run by Executive Magistrates at important toll plazas, highways and congested areas to maintain overall law and order.
