A woman died in a fire at her home

A mentally unstable woman died after being burnt in a fire in Bandarban. The deceased has been identified as Hlanuching Marma (46). The incident took place on Sunday (April 12) afternoon at Balaghata Fathwai Aung Karbaripara in Bandarban Municipal area.
The name of the deceased is Hlanuching Marma. She is the daughter of Medok Marma, a local resident.
Law and order forces and locals said that since the house of the deceased Hlanuching Marmad is a little far from the neighborhood, not many people go there. Neighbors informed the fire service and police after suddenly seeing fire in their house on Sunday afternoon. Hlanuching Marma was burnt to death in this incident despite efforts of locals and fire services to bring the fire under control. Later the police recovered the body.
Locals claim that Hlanuching Marma suffered from mental instability for a long time and is believed to have set fire to her house in the absence of her parents at home.
Kamal Hossain, station officer of Bandarban Fire Service, said that a fire service team reached the spot and brought the fire under control. A dead body was recovered from the bathroom after searching the burnt house.
Confirming the incident, Bandarban Additional Superintendent of Police Manna Dey said that the body was recovered and sent to the hospital for post-mortem. Legal action will be taken if report is received.
