A pickup truck hit the back of a standing truck in Kushtia, killing 2

In Kushtia, two people were killed when a pickup van hit the back of a truck parked on the side of the road. At least three people including the driver of the pickup were injured. The accident took place in Bittipara area of Kushtia Sadar Upazila on Kushtia-Jhenaidah highway at around 6:30 am on Friday.
The deceased are Sifayet (35) and Bikash (45) of Narail district. Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Kushtia Chaudhas Highway Police Station Abu Obaid said that the bodies of two persons have been kept in the mortuary of Kushtia General Hospital and the injured have been admitted to the hospital.

According to the police and local sources, a pickup van carrying horses on its way to Narail in the morning hit the back of a truck standing on the side of the road when it reached Bittipara area of Sadar Upazila. Bikash died on the spot and under treatment at the hospital. Three others were injured. Three horses in the pickup were also killed in the accident.
