47 more children admitted to Mymensingh Medical with measles symptoms

In the last 24 hours, 47 more children have been admitted to Mymensingh Medical College Hospital with symptoms of measles. Currently there are 77 children under treatment.
The hospital authorities said that 47 new children were admitted to the Measles Isolation Ward of Mymensingh Medical College Hospital from 8:00 am on Thursday to 8:00 am on Friday.
From March 17 till this morning, 795 children were admitted with measles symptoms. Among them, 702 children were discharged from the hospital. 16 children died. Currently 77 children are under treatment. Another 35 children have recovered and been discharged from the hospital in the last 24 hours.
From February this year, one or two people started being admitted to the Children’s Department of Mymensingh Medical College Hospital with symptoms of measles. The number of patients started increasing from mid-March. The hospital has 64 bedded separate isolation wards for the treatment of patients. Three medical teams have been formed there and the treatment is going on.
Mymensingh Medical College Hospital Assistant Director (Administration) Mohammad Mainuddin Khan said that 47 new children were admitted with measles symptoms in 24 hours. No child died during this time.
