Toma Mirza Discusses Private Life Beyond the Screen

National Film Award-winning Dhallywood actress Toma Mirza recently shared a deeply emotional connection with her younger brother, Turjo Mirza, on a celebrity talk show, stating she considers him like her own child. The actress offered a rare glimpse into her personal life, highlighting her profound family dedication beyond her glamorous screen persona.
Mirza elaborated on her unique bond with Turjo, who is nearly 11 years her junior. As the youngest member born into the family after a significant gap, her love and sense of responsibility for him were distinct from the outset.
Her role as a primary caregiver intensified early in her career when her father fell critically ill around 2012. Despite being new to the industry, Mirza took a firm hold of family affairs. By 2013, she had advised her father to retire from his professional life, fully assuming all household responsibilities herself.
“To Turjo, I am effectively next only to our mother,” Mirza explained. “I serve as both his good friend and his guardian.” She revealed that she often seeks his opinion on her creative work, such as reels and photographs, to ensure they are satisfactory. In turn, Turjo, who enjoys singing, frequently shares his musical performances with her.
The actress reiterated her feeling that Turjo is sometimes like her own child, confessing her struggle to discipline him. “Even if he makes a big mistake, I can’t bring myself to scold him,” she said. “I often ask my mother to admonish him, but she says he fears me, and I should do it. Yet, I simply cannot bring myself to scold him.”
