There is talk of a huge settlement surrounding Tamil superstar and politician Thalapathy Vijay’s divorce. According to reports in the Indian media, no final settlement has yet been reached with wife Sangeeta Sornalingam over the amount of the alimony, due to which the legal process is being prolonged.

According to reports, Sangeeta has demanded around Rs 250 crore and a seaside house in Chennai for Khorposh. However, Thalapati Vijay is keen to settle the matter out of court. Although he agreed to pay a maximum of Rs 35 crore, the other party is said to be adamant on their demand. Meanwhile, the Vijay party requested to postpone the scheduled hearing on April 20 as they are busy with Tamil Nadu assembly elections on April 23. The court granted the petition and fixed June 15 as the next date of hearing. As a result, the progress of the case was somewhat delayed.
