Shakib Khans Surprise in Rockstar Debut Song

The first song, “Piriti,” from Bangladeshi superstar Shakib Khan’s upcoming film “Rockstar” was released earlier this week, offering a glimpse into the highly anticipated movie set for an Eid al-Fitr premiere. The track, which debuted on Tuesday evening, May 12, has already garnered significant positive attention following the prior release of animated and video teasers for the film.
The music video for “Piriti” features Shakib Khan in a notably different and distressed appearance, depicting his character in prison. While the specific circumstances leading to his incarceration remain undisclosed, the visual presentation adds a layer of intrigue to the film’s narrative.
For his role as a professional musician in “Rockstar,” Khan underwent a significant physical transformation, altering his look and reportedly losing a substantial amount of weight to embody the character’s journey authentically.
Film insiders indicate that “Rockstar,” penned by Azman Rusho, aims to explore the multifaceted life of a musician, delving into themes of struggle, rise, fall, and various real-world experiences. Rusho, who revealed he was involved in music prior to his career in filmmaking, stated that he crafted the story by blending his personal experiences with those of actual rockstars.
The song “Piriti” features vocals by Pantho Kanai, who also makes an on-screen appearance in the video. The lyrics were penned by Hasan Robayet, with the tune composed by Ahmed Hasan Sunny and music direction handled by Zahid Nirob.
