Kareena Kapoor to be Airlifted to India by Air Ambulance

Actress and content creator Karina Kaiser is being airlifted via air ambulance to Chennai, India, on Monday afternoon for advanced medical treatment, her father, former footballer Kaiser Hamid, announced. Kaiser has been on life support since Friday night due to severe liver complications, which her family says rapidly escalated from an initial infection and Hepatitis A.
The urgent medical transfer comes as Kaiser Hamid and his wife, chess player Rani Hamid, are liquidating family assets to cover the extensive treatment costs. “We just received the visa,” Kaiser Hamid stated, adding that the air ambulance would transport his daughter to Chennai later today. He noted that they are breaking fixed deposits and initiating the sale of a land plot to manage the substantial hospital bills and air ambulance expenses, a process he expects to complete by the end of the day.
Karina, who has also made a name for herself as a scriptwriter, experienced a swift deterioration in her health over recent days. Initially presenting with general sickness, her condition worsened dramatically. Doctors later identified an infection and Hepatitis A, compounded by a pre-existing fatty liver issue, ultimately leading to liver failure.
Kaiser Hamid provided an update on his daughter’s critical state, confirming her condition remains unchanged, though medical professionals have managed to stabilize her blood pressure. “The biggest priority now is to get her there safely and begin treatment quickly,” he said, appealing for prayers for his daughter.
The financial strain on the family is significant, as Kaiser Hamid previously indicated. The family had already incurred substantial costs for the prolonged treatment of another sibling who battled brain cancer, which severely depleted their resources. Now, securing funds for Karina’s specialized care requires further financial sacrifices.
