MUMBAI – Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar recently captured widespread attention by dancing in high-heeled shoes on a reality show stage, accepting a challenge from co-star Jacqueline Fernandez. The unexpected feat, performed during the grand finale of “Wheel of Fortune,” saved him from paying Fernandez 100,000 rupees.
The unusual incident unfolded when Fernandez and Bhumi Pednekar, also present with choreographer-director Farah Khan, accused Kumar of frequently pranking them. To exact revenge, Fernandez dared Kumar to dance for one minute in high heels, promising that if he stopped midway, he would owe her 100,000 rupees.
Initially hesitant, the “Khiladi” actor ultimately donned a pair of red high heels and began dancing to the song “Lal Pari.” He successfully completed the minute-long challenge, though one of the heels broke towards the end of his performance.
Reflecting on the experience, Kumar later expressed admiration for women, stating, “My salute to all women, how do you wear these?” A video of the event quickly went viral on social media, earning Kumar widespread praise from netizens for his sporting spirit.
