Actor Mosharraf Karim and wife face alleged harassment by political activists in Kolkata

Popular Bangladeshi actor Mosharraf Karim and his wife, actress Robena Reza Jui, were allegedly confronted by a group of supporters of the now-banned Awami League while visiting Kolkata, India. The incident reportedly took place on Monday night near the Kasturi Hotel in the city’s New Market area.
According to Karim, he was walking with his wife at approximately 10:00 p.m. when the encounter occurred. The actor stated that a group of individuals began shouting insults, labeling him a “Lal Badar,” and attempted to physically approach him.

The confrontation highlights growing tensions involving public figures associated with the previous administration as they navigate travel abroad. No injuries were reported, and authorities have yet to issue a formal statement regarding the alleged harassment.
